I’m so excited to be gifted two Japanese Girls’ Fashion magazines, FRAU and FUDGE, from my friend T.K. who just came back from Japan. If pictures are worth a thousand words, magazines are such a great deal–think about the total amount of words you get per dollar!
Seriously though, magazines have always been creative folks big inspiration source and what’s more, you never feel too bad to cut it up and make a collage out of that fold-out page gal and the Fedex man on page 32. Fun fun!
I love to see the different editorial design and decisions that the Japanese artists make when they create these pages. The font, color palette, layout and pretty much the whole aesthetic is different from conventional western magazine style. Here are some of my favorite pages.
One of the magazines has a Taiwan travel coverage and there are tons of beautiful pictures of Taiwan. Home sick!
